Hey, everyone! Tessie here! And as you can see, we are having our Christmas Hair Ribbon Fashion Show! I think we mentioned last time that Miss Chrissy is having a hard time finding Christmas clothes for us that don’t say “Baby’s First Christmas,” so we decided to get creative with our Christmas spirit and concentrate on Christmas-ifying our hairstyles with some pretty red velvet ribbons.
As you can see here, I have my hair in ponytails, and I’m sporting those pretty ribbons at the top of my ponytails. It’s been so long since I’ve worn my hair in ponytails that I forgot how much I like it! Trixie and Tillie say this is an especially becoming look for me. Miss Chrissy agrees. I like it, because when I wear my hair this way, it gives me all kinds of opportunities to accesorize my hairstyle, and for a Whimsie like me who loves fashion, any time I can accessorize is a good time!
You will also notice that I’m wearing that pretty pink jammie that has little kittle kats all over it. The kittles are very little, so you might not be able to see them very well, but I like knowing they are there. We tried to get Mr. Squee to represent the feline persuation in this Fashion Show, but he just rolled his big green eyes and grumped. So, I guess my jammies will have to stand in for all kitty kats that love Christmas. I wouldn’t say Mr. Squee is a Scrooge, but I just think he doesn’t care much for fashion and dressing up.
Now, here’s Trixie, and as you can see, she is finally getting to wear the red and pink striped jammie, which is so soft and comfortable, and since there are no feet on it, she is also wearing some pink socks (though you can’t see that in this picture, but you can see the socks in the Group Portrait below). We all have to be covering up our feet these days, and wearing long sleeves, because it’s been exceptionally COLD! It’s not actually cold cold in Whimsieville, but it just feels cooler than usual. But Miss Chrissy and the The Man will often run the fireplace, so that makes us toasty warm when we need it.
Trixie has placed those Christmas ribbons at the end of her pretty pink braids, and it’s that just the thing? How perfect! Overall, I would say Trixie looks festive, and completely ready for the holidays.
Tillie had a little trouble figuring out how to work her Christmas ribbon, and the problem it seems, is that she has SO MUCH HAIR!! Can you imagine? I sometimes wish I had long beautiful hair like Tillie, but then when I see how difficult it was for her to find a way to wear her Christmas ribbon, it occurred to me that every kind of hair style has its pluses and minuses. Tillie first tried pulling her hair back in one big ponytail, which is great, but you really can’t see her ribbon so well like that. So later, she decided to go back to her usual hairstyle, which is to let her long beautiful hair hang down her back, held back by a headband.
In the picture below you’ll see how Tillie managed to make the headband and ribbon work together for her. You’ll also notice that she is now wearing the blue polar bear jammies Trixie had on last time. You know what that means: I’m next! I’m next! Next time you see me, expect me to be in those pretty blue jammies, which both Trixie and Tillie have assured me are toasty warm and comfortable.
For our Group Portrait below, we also added a few props, some empty Christmas gift bags! They are empty now because it’s not Christmas yet, but Christmas is only ten days away, so we are hoping that Santa will be filling those bags for us with lots of nice new fashions and games!
Well, that’s it for now. We Whimsies love having our Christmas Portraits taken! We’re really hams, don’t you think? 🙂 We admit it!
And now you must excuse me, because we are all off to cuddle under the quilts and watch the Pee Wee Herman Christmas Special!!
