THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WHIMSIES

tessiconWe realize that we are not the only three Whimsies in the world. Each of us, in our past, has had times when we’ve known and been friends with other Whimsies.

When I lived with Miss Chrissy when she was a little girl, she had many Whimsies (but I was her favorite!), and neighbors and cousins would often come over with their Whimsies and we would all play together in the Clubhouse.

Tillie tells us that her Person Jennifer had a friend named Patty, who would visit with her Whimsies, Trudi and Tootsie. They spent a lot of time together reading books, watching cartoons and playing hopscotch and Green Ghost.

Trixie did not know any other Whimsies until she ended up in the first of several Hoards she had to live in, before she came to Whimsieville. She knew several other Whimsies in all that time, and tells us that in a few of the Hoards, she even met BOY Whimsies!

What a fascinating World of Whimsies it is! When we Whimsies were young, there was no such thing as The Internet, so we had no idea how wide the World of Whimsies might actually spread. Now, we can go On Line, and find lots and lots of other Whimsies! Some of them we see at the E Bay Adoption Agency, and others we find in other places. Of course, it’s unlikely we will ever meet any of these other Whimsies (and we have had numerous discussions about how we would feel about meeting any Whimsie BOYS, and “the jury is still out” on all that, as they say) but still, we do enjoy looking at their pictures and portraits.

whimgroupAs a new feature here at Whimsieville, we are going to begin sharing with you some of the wonderful images of other Whimsies that we find from time to time. Here’s our first look at Whimises other than us, and we’vbe chosen a group portrait to show not only that there are other Whimsies living together in harmony, but also that girl and BOY Whimsies can live together in harmony. (Some others of us here in Whimsieville are not yet entirely convinced that is possible…)

In this portrait, we see a girl who looks very much like she could be Tillie’s cousin, but Tillie assures us she does not know this Whimsie. Isn’t she pretty, though, in that lovely pink dress? And shoes!

We also see a sleepy Whimsie beside her, dressed in striped nightclothes, though it is difficult to tell if this is a boy or girl. This Whimsie does not appear to have any hair…but what a sweet face!

In the back, on the left, we see a fellow with a moustache. Definately a boy! (Even though he appears to be wearing a dress…very strange…) I don’t have any problem with boy Whimsies, but I do think a Whimsie with a moustache looks somewhat…unnatural. I don’t think I would like to meet this boy Whimsie in a dark alley, or anywhere else for that matter.

But I like the fellow on the right! He’s all dressed up like he’s graduating from school, and we all agree that a SMART Whimsie is a fun Whimsie! From what we’ve gathered, this Whimsie’s name is Simon. I like that name, and I think I would like him, if I ever met him.

As you can see, these Whimsies are posing for their portrait on a nice chair or couch of some kind, so we get the impression they are Well Taken Care Of, and have a nice life, wherever they are. And don’t you just love the smiles on all of their faces?

Well, that’s our first look at the Whimsie World outside of Whimsieville. We’ll be back for more as time goes on. Just follow the Whimsie Face on the right side of the page to stay up to date on the Wonderful World of Whimsies!
